Count Your Steps

Count Your Steps

A pedometer is a useful gadget that will count the number of steps you take, work out the distance you have covered, the pace you are walking at, and even how many calories you have burned off.

Walking-count steps
10,000 steps is the magic number to lose weight.

As such, it can be an excellent tool to keep you motivated during any walking exercises you choose to do. Nevertheless, it’s also useful to wear one as you go about your daily activities.

Listed below are some recommended goals to work toward:

  • 3,000 steps a day = good starting point for getting fit
  • 6,000 steps a day = will keep diseases connected to obesity and inactivity at bay
  • 10,000 steps a day = the “magic number” set by leading health and fitness experts to help you to lose weight and maintain a healthy heart.

It’s not as hard as it seems at first sight to get up to the desired 10,000 steps: take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk to the shop rather than drive, or just take a walk around the block.
