Do you want to take part in one of the most popular cross-country ski marathons in the world? Join the Engadin Ski Marathon.
Every year, more than 10,000 skiers from 50 different countries slide and glide their way over the full 42km marathon distance at the Engadin Ski Marathon, in the stunning surroundings of Switzerland’s upper Engadin valley.
The marathon is an unremitting test of endurance and also Switzerland’s contender in the Worldloppet, an international series of 16 cross-country ski marathons open only to the best race from each country.
The focus is on participation and fun as well as performance. The first to finish will be elite skiers who target a finish time of a little over one hour and a half – the record is 1 hour and 16 minutes), while other racers will complete the marathon in at least three and three-quarter hours.
Next event: 13th March 2016
