Group Running Is More Satisfying

Group running is more satisfying and motivational than solo running.

New research published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology has challenged the belief that “to feel in control of your life you must stand alone.”

The research showed that group membership is closely connected to life satisfaction and that identifying with a group in fact makes people feel more in control than being fully independent. The feeling of being part of a group was linked to the feeling of more personal control, as well as to higher levels of well-being.
