These food pairings will make sure that you get the most nutrients out of your food.

PAIR carrots, sweet potatoes, broccoli, squash, asparagus and mushrooms WITH healthy fats such as avocado, raw nuts, butter, coconut or olive oil BECAUSE dietary fat helps dissolve fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K so your body can absorb them better.

PAIR kale, spinach, lentils and soybeans WITH sources of vitamin C such as oranges, lemon juice, berries or peppers BECAUSE vitamin C helps the plant release its iron.

PAIR turkey, beef, oysters and organ meat WITH foods containing sulfur such as onion, garlic and whole eggs BECAUSE sulfur binds to the minerals zinc and iron and promotes absorption.
