How to Use Less Oil in Cooking?

Oil can be healthy as long as you choose the right one for the purpose, however, all oils are high in calories, therefore it’s a good idea to minimize the amount you use, rather than just glugging it into the wok. Try these tricks to limit the amount you use in cooking.

  1. USE A NON-STICK PAN: If your pan is old and not as non-stick as it used to be, buy a new one. You’ll see great difference.
  2. FOLLOW THE AMOUNT USED IN RECIPES OR USE EVEN LESS: For better taste and texture, some people just love to splash oil in randomly. In this way it’s easy to end up with a load of unnecessary extra cals. So stick to the amount in the recipe or try using even less.
  3. TRY AN OIL MIST OR SPRAY instead of pouring directly from the bottle. Try sprays that come in olive oil and sunflower versions.
