Oil can be healthy as long as you choose the right one for the purpose, however, all oils are high in calories, therefore it’s a good idea to minimize the amount you use, rather than just glugging it into the wok. Try these tricks to limit the amount you use in cooking.
- USE A NON-STICK PAN: If your pan is old and not as non-stick as it used to be, buy a new one. You’ll see great difference.
- FOLLOW THE AMOUNT USED IN RECIPES OR USE EVEN LESS: For better taste and texture, some people just love to splash oil in randomly. In this way it’s easy to end up with a load of unnecessary extra cals. So stick to the amount in the recipe or try using even less.
- TRY AN OIL MIST OR SPRAY instead of pouring directly from the bottle. Try sprays that come in olive oil and sunflower versions.
