Longer Life With Mediterranean Diet

Longer Life With Mediterranean Diet

The Mediterranean diet, also called the Med diet, will help you live longer.

It’s been drilled into us that a diet low in meat and dairy and rich in vegetables, whole grains, fruits, olive oil—and of course, the occasional glass of red wine—protects against heart disease and diabetes.

Now, research also reveals that if you eat a Mediterranean diet, your DNA will have longer telomeres, the structures at the end of chromosomes that indicates life expectancy.
