Top UK MTB Trails: Cut Gate Path

Cut Gate Path, Peak District

Cut Gate Path offers the best ride in Peak District, and unless you fancy a real monster loop – 70km plus at least – then you’ll need to ride it both ways, which is actually a bonus.

The first climb is steep and technical, quickly becoming sapping; however as the gradient gives, so things really get good: heathery singletrack, bouldery drops and amazing views. The norm is to turn tail on an anti-clockwise loop around the oddly-named North America then ride the entire trail in reverse.
