Quantock Hills, Somerset
This cycling area may be small in size, but it’s huge in mountain bike potential with miles of amazing natural singletrack skirting around the Quantocks in Somerset.
This is a compact area, located on a whaleback ridge that’s propped up by steep hillsides and carved by deep wooded coombes. Smith’s Coombe is the most thrilling of them all: a steep entry followed by a series of full-speed stream crossings. However there’s Weacombe, Hodders, Holford and Somerton, too. And a few nice climbs like Lady’s Edge and Downsborough for riders who prefer to grapple with gravity.
