Snowdon, North Wales
Snowdon is Wales’s highest mountain and the principality’s most exciting bike adventure, though only the hardy need apply.
The easiest, and least technically challenging, route goes from Llanberis alongside the railway to the summit and returns the same way; however, it still offers a huge day with over 1000m of ascent. Even better, but a tad more technically demanding, is a descent of the Ranger’s Path before hoping over Bwlch Maesgwm for a stunning singletrack descent of Telegraph Valley.
A voluntary bike ban exists between 10am and 5pm from 1 May to 30 September.
