West Highland Way, Scotland
West Highland Way, the 154km long route, makes a great MTB challenge on some top-notch trails through some quite amazing scenery.
However it has its limitations too – the southern part isn’t that great and there’s a good bit of carrying needed when it reaches the Highlands around Loch Lomond. To get most out of it, start in Crianlarich and ride the 80 spellbinding kilometres to Fort Bill. If that’s not enough, turn back and run it again in reverse the next day.
