Nuts Reduce Risk of Heart Attack

Nuts Reduce Risk of Heart Attack

Nuts are widely recognized as food that benefits your heart health and reduces the risk of heart attack.

The majority of studies showing the nutritional value of nuts used people in higher socio-economic groups of European descent. However, there was also a study carried out among more than 200,000 Americans of low socio-economic status. The study from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee showed that higher nut intake was connected to a lower rate of death from all causes and from cardiovascular disease. The results were similar for whites, blacks and Asians.

Peanuts were the nuts consumed most often. Consuming more peanuts could be a cost-effective way of boosting cardiovascular health in various socio-economic groups.

Check why nuts have such great health benefits on your body.
