Prolonged Sitting Affects Overall Health

Prolonged sitting has been linked to higher risk of diabetes, heart disease, cancer and early death – and even exercising won’t really lessen the damage, according to a study at King’s College London.

The study suggested that you should view sitting as a behaviour to change and, rather than doing extra exercise, establish goals to limit the time you spend on your butt. Talk to people rather than sending them an email, incorporate short walks into your working time, have meetings standing up.
