Recent studies stress the benefits of ‘Interval Walking’. In trials on 32 adults with type 2 diabetes, a group who did four months of ‘interval walking’ (five hour-long sessions a week; alternating three minutes of fast walking and 3 minutes of slow walking) achieved better blood sugar control and insulin management than those that did steady moderate walking or no exercise at all.
