The Dragon’s Back Race, Conwy
When? June 2015
Held only twice previously (in 1992 and 2012), this summer’s eagerly awaited third run follows the mountainous backbone of Wales from Conwy Castle to Carreg Cennen Castle over five days. The trail is around 300km long with a staggering 17,000m of ascent across wild, trackless, remote and mountainous terrain.
The fastest runners are expected to be running for between eight and nine hours a day, while the slowest competitors will be on the course for between 13 and 15 hours.
