It’s enough that this Highland climb is the longest, wildest, and most exhausting on these shores, but the fact that it’s so remote means that – unless you’re a Highlander – you’ll have to take a whole weekend to tackle it.
The climb gains 626m over six miles, and is an absolute delight to top off one of the UK’s greatest wilderness road rides. Take a train and camp at Applecross close by before retracing your wheel tracks in the morning. If you value safety in numbers the climb is part of the Bealach Beag and Bealach Mor sportives.
