UK’s Top Road Rides: Lincoln Grand Prix Sportive

The daddy of Lincoln Grand Prix Sportive’s four routes is a 97-mile traipse across Lincolnshire, covering almost every hill in the local area.

Along the way, there’s 4,695 feet (1431m) of ascent, topped off with the 320m, 12% cobbled climb of Michaelgate in the center of historic Lincoln – the very same challenge taken on by elite cyclists the following day in the Lincoln Grand Prix.

It’s the east’s answer to Shaftesbury’s Gold Hill, and longer, too! It’s a good way to begin your riding summer series with a bang.

This year’s event: 20th June 2015
