UK’s Top Triathlons: Club Relay Championships

Club Relay Championships

National Water Sports Centre, Nottingham

22nd August 2015

500m swim, 15km bike, 5km run

Every, year, UK triathlon’s equivalent to Glastonbury attracts more than 2,000 athletes for two days of adrenaline-fuelled race. Teams of four compete in the relatively swift challenge of 500m swim, 15km bike, 5km run in a relay format. You finish the swim. You tag your next (wo)man. They swim. And so forth, and the same applies to the bike and run. In the, at times, single-minded world of competitive triathlon, it’s an enjoyable end-of-season antidote, heightened by the on-site camping and entertainment in the evening.
