1km sea swim, 35km bike, 7.5km run
Nestling beside the stag- and hen-infested waters of Newquay is without doubt one of the most beautiful multi-sport locations you could want. A vast expanse of golden sand nestles up to rugged cliffs, but it’s the Atlantic Ocean that attracts the best triathletes to the Perranporth triathlon in the north Cornwall every year, ready to battle the white horse waves that give this triathlon its fearsome reputation. If you’re not one of the many who’re brought back to shore by the safety canoes, you face 35km of undulating biking before running to the finish line across a wonderful beach.
