If you want to lose weight easily, drink a pint of water before major meals—according to a study carried out by Helen Parretti from Oxford University in the U.K.
Half an hour before each major meal, subjects drank a pint of water (water group) or visualized their stomachs were full (think group). After 3 months, the water group lost 5.3 pounds and the think group lost 2.6 pounds.
Consuming water before meals is a safe, simple and effective way to drop pounds. Weight loss from drinking water before meals three times a day was similar to that achieved with commercial weight-loss programs. It’s not known if drinking water pre-meal could cause long-term weight loss.
