Pikes Peak Marathon

PIKES PEAK MARATHON

20 & 21 August 2016
Manitou Springs, Colorado

There’s a reason that trees don’t trouble growing above 12,000 feet on Pikes Peak. They can’t, simple as that. The truth is, trees aren’t the only ones that suffer in this race, runners do too – due to the lack of oxygen.

The route starts at 1,920m. Participants shuffle their way to the 3,658m summit of Pike’s Peak before arduously descending the other side.
