Porridge with peanuts and maple syrup


Preparation time: cca. 15 minutes (plus cooking time)
Per portion cca. 357 kcal / 1400 kJ
9 g P, 13 g F, 49 g CH
Serves 4

  • 625 ml apple juice
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch of salt
  • 140 g oats
  • 70 g dried cranberries
  • 4 tbsp maple syrup
  • 70 g peanuts
  • whipped cream and brown sugar to garnish
  1. Bring the mixture of apple juice, 125 ml of water, the cinnamon and a pinch of salt to the boil in a saucepan. Add the oats, dried cranberries and maple syrup, and stir well. Bring to the boil and simmer gently for about 10 minutes, stirring continuously.
  2. Chop the peanuts, then stir into the porridge and place the porridge into bowls. Serve with a little whipped cream and brown sugar.
