INGREDIENTS (Serves 4)
- 60 g mortadella
- 10 black olives, pitted
- 50 g sheep’s cheese
- ½ bunch of basil
- 8 large romaine lettuce leaves (or 16 small ones)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Cut the mortadella into strips. Chop the olives and cut the sheep’s cheese into dices. Combine with the olives and mortadella strips, and add salt and pepper to taste. Rinse and shake dry the basil. Pluck the leaves off the stalks and chop finely. Mix with the filling.
- Rinse and pat dry the lettuce leaves and open out flat. Overlap smaller ones. Place the filling on the lettuce leaves, then roll up and secure. Heat the olive oil and steam the stuffed lettuce leaves on all sides over a low temperature for cca. 5 minutes. Serve with bread.
